London | Hybrid 3 Days in Office

Up to £115k + £30k Bonus, 15% Pension, 30 Days Holiday, Full Family HC + Global FS Organization

Hands-on senior engineer responsible for designing, operating, and evolving production Kubernetes platforms on AWS EKS. Owns platform epics end-to-end and provides technical direction across a shared backlog. This is a senior individual contributor role, not a people-management post.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate enterprise-scale Kubernetes (EKS) clusters
  • Own cluster lifecycle: upgrades, security, networking, multi-cluster strategy
  • Deliver GitOps-based deployments (ArgoCD / Flux)
  • Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
  • Operate and improve platform reliability and production support
  • Partner with application, security, and architecture teams
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, pairing, and mentoring
Required Experience
  • Deep, hands-on Kubernetes production experience (EKS strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of K8s networking, security, and multi-tenancy
  • Proven experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong AWS background (Azure/GCP a plus)
  • Solid networking fundamentals (VPC, CIDR, routing, firewalls, DNS)
  • Confident with Linux CLI, Bash, and Python
Nice to Have
  • Internal Developer Platform / self-service platform experience
  • Multi-cluster or hybrid cloud environments
