Job Description

AI Engagement Lead or Manager (Marketing)

Location: London | Hybrid | Permanent

Up to £125 + B&B

Reporting to C-Suite in a Matrix structure with the central AI team, MarTech, Data, and Compliance.

THE ROLE:

  • AI roadmap for marketing communications and engagement.
  • Own key products: conversational assistants, content generation, and RAG search.
  • Take each product from discovery to launch and scale.
  • Build “governance-lite” controls: usage logging, prompt review, risk tiers, data rules.
  • Align with enterprise AI policy, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Redesign content and campaign workflows to remove manual steps.
  • Stand up an internal AI training programme and a Community of Practice.
  • Track adoption and value with a simple KPI set (NPS, cycle time, cost-to-serve).
  • Publish a monthly impact pack for marketing leadership.
  • Run buy-partner-build analysis and keep vendor spend tight.
  • Work day-to-day with MarTech, Data, Creative, and Compliance to ship MVPs fast.

THE CANDIDATE'S EXPERIENCE:

  • End-to-end ownership of an AI platform or capability used by ~1,000+ users.
  • Strong knowledge of LLMs, conversational design, RAG, and prompt practices.
  • Proven change leadership: you have driven ≥50% adoption with training and comms.
  • Governance mindset: you have designed guardrails that pass risk and legal review.
  • Working grasp of MLOps/GenAIOps (CI/CD, model registry, data lineage, evaluation).
  • Clear communicator: you can brief boards and coach non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable in a matrix: you align marketing, data, tech, and compliance quickly.
