What You'll Do
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians to develop the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the electrical industry. You will gain practical, hands-on experience while studying towards a recognised electrical qualification, learning how to work safely, efficiently and to industry standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Support electricians on domestic, commercial and/or industrial projects.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Use electrical tools, equipment and testing instruments safely and correctly.
- Help identify and diagnose electrical faults under supervision.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Travel to customer sites as required and represent the company professionally.
- Complete college coursework and apprenticeship training, applying new skills in the workplace.
- Develop technical knowledge, practical skills and a strong understanding of the electrical trade.
Training Outcome
Following completion of the apprenticeship, there are opportunities to progress into skilled technical roles within the company, with the potential to develop into senior positions, including team leader and management roles. Many of our previous apprentices have successfully progressed through the business, building their skills and experience to achieve long-term careers with us.
