About the Client: A forensic technology and expert services firm based in the United States that helps legal teams analyze, visualize, and present complex evidence in court.
We are seeking a highly skilled, self-sufficient 3D Animator to join our global remote team. This is a unique opportunity to step outside of traditional entertainment animation and apply your 3D production expertise to the fascinating, high-stakes world of forensic reconstruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environment & Asset Creation: Architect highly accurate 3D models (including vehicles, roadways, structures, and environments) that serve as the essential foundation for our forensic reconstructions.
- Quality Assurance Partner: Act as a critical secondary reviewer for our US team, utilizing your sharp eye for detail to identify modeling inconsistencies and ensure flawless scene execution before projects advance in the pipeline.
- Creative Marketing & Content Generation: Leverage your creative animation skills during production gaps to produce high-end visual materials for the company’s marketing initiatives, as well as engaging video content for our growing YouTube channel.
- Technical Workflow Execution: Keyframe animations, texture models, and finalize project files. While you are welcome to use other modeling software for initial creation, the final delivered product must be strictly formatted in Autodesk 3ds Max.
- Global Collaboration: Partner closely with our US-based Case Leads. Maintain proactive, professional communication, provide timely updates, and reliably manage your own project timelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Core Software: High proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max (this is mandatory).
- Post-Production: Solid working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
- Technical Pipeline: Proven ability to create 3D models, apply textures, and execute keyframe animations.
- Communication: Strong English written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with a remote US team.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Rendering Engines: Knowledge of V-Ray and/or Corona.
- Real-Time Rendering: Experience in Unreal Engine (the software utilized for many high-end video games).
- 3D Video Tracking: Familiarity with tracking software such as PF Track, Syntheyes, Match Move, or 3DEqualizer (3DE).
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday U.S. Business Hours (Pacific Time zone)
