Our client are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing Invoice Finance team. This role is focused on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the West Midlands. You will be responsible for growing the client base by delivering tailored invoice finance and working capital solutions to SMEs and mid-market businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and convert new business opportunities for invoice finance solutions.
- Build and maintain a network of introducers including accountants, commercial finance brokers, and other intermediaries.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet agreed targets.
- Conduct in-depth client meetings to assess funding needs and structure bespoke invoice finance solutions.
- Prepare and present high-quality proposals and financial documentation to internal credit and risk teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the invoice finance market, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes.
- Work collaboratively with the underwriting, operations, and relationship management teams to ensure a seamless client onboarding process.
About You:
- Proven track record in business development within the invoice finance, asset-based lending, or commercial finance sector.
- Strong understanding of invoice discounting, factoring, and other working capital solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with business owners, finance directors, and intermediaries.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
- Based in or able to cover the West Midlands region effectively.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
