About the Role

Integrity Plus Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Housing Repairs Response Supervisor on behalf of a well-established public sector housing provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a background in housing maintenance, construction, or repairs management to lead a multi-skilled workforce delivering responsive repairs and maintenance services across a large residential property portfolio. The successful candidate will split their time between supervisory responsibilities and practical operational support, ensuring high-quality repairs are delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a multi-skilled repairs and maintenance team.
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Lead on health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and PPE management.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop operatives through training and performance support.
  • Carry out inspections of completed works undertaken by both direct labour and contractors.
  • Assist with planning workloads, materials, vehicles, equipment, and resources to maximise efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues and support the handling of service-related complaints.
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and compliance across the repairs function.
  • Support budget management and cost control initiatives, including recharge recovery where appropriate.
  • Act as a professional front-line representative when working within tenants' homes and communities.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Practical knowledge of construction, repairs, and maintenance practices within social housing, property maintenance, or a similar environment.
  • Previous supervisory, team leader, or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to organise and motivate teams to achieve high standards.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and responding effectively to changing demands.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience within social housing, local authority, or public sector environments.
  • Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising apprentices or developing trade staff.
  • Knowledge of housing repairs compliance and contractor management.
