We are looking for a proactive Production Line Leader to oversee a busy production line, ensuring smooth operations, accurate reporting, and high-quality output. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys leading a team and keeping things running efficiently. Working on a 4 on 4 off shift rota (12 hours), your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and deploy production staff across shifts.
  • Run one production line effectively and ensure all areas operate to standard.
  • Complete all required documentation and handovers accurately.
  • Support with internal and external audits when required.
  • Complete packaging defect forms and daily fire registers.
  • Co-ordinate rota and time & attendance systems if needed.
  • Ensure daily paperwork, cleaning, and production checks are fully completed.
  • Maintain adequate stock of product and packaging throughout shifts.
  • Monitor and promote production KPIs and efficiency targets.
  • Check and sign off operator paperwork (e.g. checkweighers, label control).
  • Manage label sign-off and returns processes.
  • Lead, supervise, and train team members and agency workers.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Technical, and Warehouse teams.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to PPE and site safety requirements.
  • Accurately report job information on Prophet (or similar system).

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Line Leader or Team Leader in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Confident communicator and organiser with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Prophet or Scan systems advantageous.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 on / 4 off pattern.
