The purpose of this role is to perform a variety of tasks as directed on a day-to-day basis to ensure packing deadlines are met. This role covers bringing the raw material into production lines and taking them back to cold store when production is finished.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work together with the production team.
- Responsible for bringing the packaging to the production lines and ensuring the right packaging (punnets and trays) is supplied to the right job.
- Move the pallets location to the PH1.
- Report to the production manager or area leader if any pallet of the packaging is unsafe to move, in any circumstances.
- Responsible for updating the pallets location as you move them.
- Ensure pallets have the correct quantity and traceability barcode before moving them. Report discrepancies to Area/Line Leaders.
- Work with the Production Manager/Shifts managers to ensure the daily work plan is covered.
- Be proactive and assist in the development and portrayal of a strong and cohesive team.
- Due to the nature of the role, ensure you wear protective PPE, including jacket and safety hat (provided by the company).
- Job involves moving pallets in cold areas.
- Keep your work area clean and tidy.
- Be able to work reasonable additional hours during busy periods to assist with the productivity of the Packhouse.
