Integrity Education Solutions is supporting an independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) group that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for young people with neurodiverse educational needs. They are seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified SENCo to join one of their specialist schools based in East London on a permanent basis, starting in September 2025 or sooner. The successful candidate will lead the school’s efforts to support each pupil in reaching their full potential. You will collaborate with the clinical and inclusion teams to develop tailored strategies for individual students and the whole school, ensuring the necessary resources are in place to deliver effective interventions. As an experienced and passionate SENCo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) receive the support they need to thrive. You will work closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to ensure that educational provisions meet the unique needs of each student.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coordinate SEN provision across the school, ensuring the highest quality of support for students with SEN and disabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized learning plans (EHCPs) for each student, working collaboratively with staff and external professionals.
  • Oversee and assess the progress of students with SEN, identifying needs and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
  • Provide guidance and training to teaching staff on differentiated teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Liaise with families and carers to ensure effective communication and partnership in supporting student development.
  • Stay up to date with relevant policies, practices, and legislation in SEN to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Work as part of the leadership team to drive inclusive teaching practices across the school.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • National SENCo Qualification (or willingness to undertake it).
  • Proven experience working with students with complex SEN, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other learning difficulties.
  • A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience in writing and reviewing EHCPs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • A passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable students.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Salary: £54,000 - £57,000 (dependent on experience)
