Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor (8+yrs PQE) to join our team and lead our new office soon to open in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling a variety of private client matters, including wills, trusts, probate, and tax planning. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an area undergoing extensive regeneration, a growing client base and career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and advising on wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.
  • Managing the administration of estates and probate matters.
  • Providing strategic advice on inheritance tax and succession planning.
  • Handling powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in relevant legislation.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Representing clients in negotiations and legal proceedings when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a current Practising Certificate.
  • Extensive experience in private client law, including wills, trusts, probate, and tax planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical and creative solutions to clients.
