With a strong reputation in commercial litigation, we are excited to open a new office in Dudley to expand our presence and serve our growing client base. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Solicitor with 7+ years PQE to join our dynamic team and play a key role in establishing our Dudley office.
As a Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Solicitor, you will handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial disputes, advising clients on litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Based at our new Dudley office, you will contribute to the firm’s growth, leveraging your mediation and advocacy experience to deliver exceptional client outcomes in a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, and insolvency-related litigation.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations, utilising strong advocacy skills.
- Advise clients on dispute resolution strategies, including negotiation, mediation, and other ADR methods to achieve cost-effective resolutions.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on complex commercial issues.
- Build and maintain client relationships, supporting business development to grow the Dudley office’s client base.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., corporate, property) to provide integrated solutions for clients.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the litigation practice.
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 7 years PQE in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, gained at a reputable law firm.
- Proven advocacy experience, with a track record of representing clients in court or tribunal hearings.
- Strong experience in mediation and other ADR methods, with the ability to facilitate effective resolutions.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial law, civil procedure rules, and insolvency legislation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach to build long-term relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload under tight deadlines.
- Commercial acumen and enthusiasm for business development to support the new Dudley office.
- Comfortable with a hybrid working model, balancing office presence in Dudley with remote flexibility.
