An exciting opportunity for a newly / recently qualified ACA to join a global AIM-listed technology company as a Group Finance Manager. Based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Annual salary of up to £65,000 + benefits.
4 days in office / 1 day WFH.
This role requires a finance professional with a strong financial accounting/technical accounting track record. Ideally you will be a graduate, newly / recently qualified ACA from an accountancy practice background who is looking to take the next step up in your career . 1-2 years' post-qualified experience in industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO as part of a small finance team. This is a hands-on role with potential progression to an FC position in the future.
You will be responsible for the preparation of the group consolidation and financial reporting under IFRS, finance, reporting and corporate compliance for the group, as well as working on the planning, strategy and future M&A work with the GFC/CFO.
The responsibilities of the Group Finance Manager include:
- Timely preparation of the multi-currency group consolidation under IFRS
- Responsibility for calculating and applying IFRS adjustments including adjustments for revenue, leases and development costs
- Supporting with financial integration and acquisition accounting for future M&A Identification
- Preparation of revenue dashboards, reporting packs and management accounts for group companies
- Supporting with the preparation of the PLC annual report, interim financial statements and statutory accounts of subsidiary companies
- Liaison with external auditors and preparation of audit support schedules and working papers
- Supporting with the preparation of the annual budget and updating financial forecasts
- Responsibility for day-to-day finance of some group companies including the posting of journals and transactions
- Ownership of the accounting for inventory, fixed assets, deferred income, accruals, prepayments and other areas for the main trading entity
- Ensuring that balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, monitoring risks and opportunities
- Supporting with the preparation of sales tax and corporate tax returns – UK and overseas
About You:
- Qualified accountant with a practice background (0-5 years post-qualified experience)
- Strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of reporting under UK GAAP/IFRS
- Experience of working in a group environment with multiple territories/currencies
- Confident in extracting, manipulating and reporting data from finance systems in an excel based environment
- Happy to get stuck into the detail, but with ambition and ability to progress to FC in future.
