Freelance AV Installation Engineers to support a growing portfolio of commercial and corporate projects across London and the UK!

Role Overview

  • Installation and commissioning of commercial AV systems
  • Rack building and cable management
  • Termination and testing of Cat6 and above infrastructure
  • Installing displays, projectors, microphones and DSP systems
  • Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Working alongside project managers and client teams
  • Ensuring installations are completed to the highest standard
  • Day Rates / Salary Expectations
  • Freelance Rates
  • Depending on experience and certifications
  • Outside and inside IR35 opportunities available
  • Overtime and weekend work available
  • Permanent Equivalent
  • Senior engineers and commissioning specialists can command
  • £50,000 – £65,000+

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial AV installations

• Strong knowledge of

  • Crestron
  • Q-SYS
  • Video conferencing technologies
  • DSP and audio systems
  • Structured cabling and rack building
  • Full UK
  • Driving Licence
  • MANDATORY
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Preferred Certifications
  • ECS Card or
  • CSCS Card
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
  • Crestron training and certifications
  • Q-SYS training/certifications
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • First Aid at Work
  • Enhanced
  • DBS Check
  • Network knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, Dante)
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms
