As a Project Manager, you would be primarily responsible for the safe and successful delivery of Northern Powergrid Frameworks including Asset Replacement changes and HV maintenance works. Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate, lead and pro-actively manage the planning, development and delivery of Asset works to ensure all contract jobs are delivered safely, to program, budget, and satisfaction of the client.
- Full understanding of the scope of works, variations to change of scope or additional works, controlling change requests and technical queries.
- Establishment of safe systems of work in accordance with health and safety legislation including CDM where applicable.
- Direct liaison with the client, sub-contractors and third parties.
- Preparation and maintenance of the program and resource plan.
- Communication of project requirements to site delivery personnel including contractors and agents.
- Management of project team and co-ordination of project activities.
- Overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring that program/project is delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety expectations.
- Manage project costs, monitor finances and have strong commercial acumen.
- Good communicator & able to interpret information.
- Customer orientated and commercially aware.
- Safety management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Project Management – Prince 2, PMP, APM PMQ, and/or equivalent role-based experience.
- Good understanding of Electrical Engineering / project management / DNO working.
- Previous experience working with a HV DNO and private networks company.
- Project Management experience of HV & LV networks essential.
- Programme production and monitoring using MS Project or equivalent and knowledge of scheduling work and resources.
- Understanding of construction methods, design and engineering principles.
- Able to produce and operate as a Principal Contractor under CDM.
Desirable Qualifications & Attributes
- HNC / Degree in Electrical & Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Management Qualifications.
- Temporary Works competency.
- Preferably from a DNO background where individual has project managed Asset Replacement work overseeing installation of Tx’s, RMU’s, RN2C equipment, and Midel oil changes.
- Experiencing in managing a construction project delivery team.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role.
- Experience in framework and scheme project management.
