Job Description

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen within Integrated Utility Services and we are looking for an experienced HSQE Advisor. This role can be based around the Stockton or Wakefield area.

We are looking for an experienced HSQE Advisor to join our team and lead the charge in achieving our Net Zero and environmental goals. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure our operations not only meet regulatory standards but also lead the way in environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities

•Champion environmental initiatives and support the development of sustainable working practices across the business.

•Monitor and report on carbon emissions, energy use, and environmental performance.

•Identify and drive carbon reduction initiatives and sustainable practices.

•Ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety legislation.

•Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.

•Deliver engaging EHS training and toolbox talks.

•Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, by reviewing policies, procedures, and systems to ensure they are robust and effective.

•Prepare reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.

•Assist the HSQE Manager in achieving environmental and safety objectives and targets.

•Lead or support internal audits and inspections, particularly focusing on environmental performance.

•Support or lead investigations into EHS incidents and raise actions to address lessons learned and monitor for effectiveness.

•Promote an initiative-taking health, safety and environmental culture through training, toolbox talks, and engagement with teams.

•Collaborate on projects with the aim of reducing environmental impact and improving operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

•NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.

•Recognised HSQE audit qualification.

•Proven experience in developing and implementing environmental and safety procedures.

•Solid understanding of construction environments, ideally with experience and civil engineering exposure.

•Full UK driving licence (travel required).

•Experience delivering training and conducting audits.

•Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.

•Familiarity with UK HSE legislation and ACOPs.

•Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

•Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

•ISEP (formerly IEMA) Foundation Certificate or equivalent in Environmental Management

•Lead Auditor status.

•CSCS card.

•Electrical background or qualification.

•Experience with integrated management systems.
