Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our foster parents and ensuring the highest standards of care for the children. This includes:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making processes.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
- A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training roles for both prospective and current foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP. We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
