What You’ll Do
As Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse during your shift, ensuring that service levels, safety standards, and performance targets are consistently met. You’ll lead a team, manage resources, and support continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage warehouse operations and systems to meet SLAs and KPIs
* Schedule staff based on sales and intake forecasts
* Lead and develop your team, resolving issues and ensuring consistency with company policies
* Produce and analyse performance and financial reports
* Ensure high standards of equipment and racking maintenance, including inspections
* Oversee project timelines and budgets, resolving delays proactively
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and audit standards
* Manage MHE inspections, servicing, and maintenance
* Control labour costs and working hours in line with business needs
* Oversee all goods in/out and ensure accuracy of reporting
* Drive continuous improvement and cross-departmental collaboration
* Maximise storage capacity and operational efficiency
* Promote and uphold ISS’s core values at all times
What You’ll Bring
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations, ideally in Produce, FMCG, or Food Manufacturing
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Proven ability to manage performance and deliver against KPIs
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Hands-on approach with a focus on safety and quality
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong English and Maths skills
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment
