ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Established in 2014, we now operate four sites across Kent and employ over 1,200 colleagues. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a QC Supervisor to help us maintain our high standards of product quality, safety and legality.
About the Role
As a QC Supervisor, you will lead and develop the QC team, ensuring all products dispatched meet customer, legal and internal requirements. Working closely with Production, you will maintain robust quality processes, minimise rejections, and support the delivery of our Quality Service Levels (QSL).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Production QC teams.
- Maintain quality, safety and legality standards throughout the packing process.
- Ensure packaging, labelling and specifications are accurate and compliant.
- Communicate quality issues to internal teams and customers in a timely manner.
- Support with rotas, investigations and general administrative tasks.
- Train new QC team members and assess ongoing competence.
- Oversee equipment calibration and ensure up-to-date product specifications.
- Contribute to KPIs and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Promote high standards of safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
- Lead by example and support team development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Quality control experience within a packhouse or production environment (essential).
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of fresh produce standards and temperature‑controlled environments.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Organised, methodical and able to work under pressure.
- Positive, flexible attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Prophet ERP (advantageous).
