We are recruiting a Clinical Psychologist to join our team!
Southleigh Community Hospital is a Level 2 rehabilitation hospital supporting men and women with enduring mental health needs, including those stepping down from secure services, acute hospitals or prison settings.
Our rehabilitation programme helps people regain confidence, develop practical life skills and prepare for greater independence through personalised care, multidisciplinary support and community engagement.
Main job role: Assess and evaluate individuals problems through the use of case history, interview and observation and provide individual or group counselling services to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment.
Experience and knowledge of
Clinical
Psychologist: Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and in a community setting.
Knowledge of mental health legislation.
Knowledge and understanding of the research process within clinical services.
Evidence of audit competency.
Experience in management roles, both clinical and non-clinical
Skills: Diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in a multi-disciplinary team.
A capacity to replace old knowledge with new, to develop new skills and adopt new attitudes.
