We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our nights team. Our is a dedicated 30-bedded nursing home specialising in the care of younger adults with physical disabilities and respite care. We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive and inclusive environment.
At Douglas House, we specialise in supporting people who have varying needs as a result of physical and long-term neurological conditions, including cancer care, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, brain injury, Huntington’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, spina bifida & hydrocephalus, and stroke.
What You’ll be Doing
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents during night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor and assess residents' health and well-being
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with families and care professionals to provide the best care
- Maintain accurate care and documentation
- Support residents in achieving their personal health goals
What You'll Need
- NMC Registered Nurse Pin
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of physical disabilities, respite care, and younger adults
- Qualifications and experience in Peg Feeding & Catheterisation
- Trained in Epilepsy Awareness & Medication Management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge in CQC regulations and Safety Standards
