We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join the team!
At Southleigh Community Hospital we support each service user’s journey and ensure that it is underpinned by personalised care plans that incorporate evidence-based psychological interventions, robust risk assessment, occupational therapy, and social inclusion measures.
What You’ll be Doing
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Support the Chef and kitchen staff as needed
What You'll Need
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant, preferably in a care home or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Great communication skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality service
