We are seeking a motivated and experienced Receptionist/ Administrator to join our team!

Sturdee Hospital is a dedicated service in Leicester, committed to providing holistic, personalised care for women aged 18–65 who have complex mental health needs. With 31 beds across two locked rehabilitation wards and nine semi-independent flats, we offer a supportive and structured environment in which every individual can work towards their recovery goals.

Sturdee Hospital is more than a traditional inpatient setting, it is a dynamic environment where women with complex mental health needs can find renewed hope. By integrating clinical expertise, evidence-based psychological interventions, and a fervent commitment to patient empowerment, we strive to create a place in which each individual can rediscover a sense of purpose and direction.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Oversee day to day management of reception desk

What You'll Need

  • Excellent communication skills, with strong listening, written and verbal communication abilities.
  • At least 1 + years of experience in receptionist and administration role
  • Warm and welcoming – creates a positive first impression for residents, families and visitors.
  • Compassionate and caring – understands the needs of vulnerable adults and their families.
  • Professional and approachable – friendly while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills – confident speaking with residents, relatives, staff and professionals.
  • Organised and reliable – able to manage calls, visitors, appointments and administration accurately.
  • Patient and calm – especially when dealing with worried relatives or difficult situations.
  • Confidential and trustworthy – understands the importance of safeguarding and handling sensitive information.
  • Team-focused – works well with care, nursing and management teams.
  • Good IT and administration skills – comfortable with emails, records and basic office systems.
  • Discreet and professional appearance – represents the service positively.
