Carmel Care is a South-West based support provider offering services built on the understanding that with the right support and care, anyone can increase their level of personal autonomy and independence.
To ensure this, we consider the needs of the individual, building support plans with choice and control at their heart. Every plan is developed in partnership with individual, detailing the life they want to live and the support needed to achieve this.
The support itself, is provided by a kind, caring and compassionate staff team. Expertly trained, they get to know each individual, working alongside them to develop and maintain the skills and abilities which enable enhanced independence.
The care itself is delivered in the individual’s own home, either as part of one of our Supported Living locations, a privately sourced tenancy or in the family home.
What You’ll be Doing
- Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
- Support residents in developing and maintaining their independence.
- Help residents with meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as a support worker
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- NVQ2 in Health and Social Care & First aid Trained
