IES offers an exciting opportunity for graduates to build and progress a career in Digital Construction through Building Simulation. This role is ideal for Engineering, Architecture or Environmental graduates who are motivated to develop both personally and professionally within a business recognised globally as being at the forefront of Sustainability and Net Zero. Successful candidates will join our structured two year Graduate Programme, gaining exposure across a variety of teams and areas within IES (UK IESVE). You will develop a broad understanding of our business through involvement in business development, consultancy, training and technical support services.

What You’ll Do

  • Take part in a structured two year graduate programme with rotations across key areas of the business
  • Work on challenging, high profile projects alongside experienced professionals
  • Develop practical skills in Building Performance Modelling using IESVE software
  • Gain exposure to the latest industry trends and best practices in sustainable building design
  • Interact with leading architectural and engineering practices
  • Be supported to work towards Energy Assessor certification and mentored towards CIBSE membership
  • Take ownership of your work while managing multiple tasks and priorities

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering)
  • Understanding of sustainable building design, such as energy modelling, energy auditing, low energy design, retrofits or retro commissioning
  • Strong enthusiasm and motivation to learn and develop within a technical environment
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own work and deliver to a high standard
  • Clear and confident communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a customer service or customer focused environment
  • Previous exposure to IESVE software
