As an Urgent Treatment Centre GP, you will provide safe, timely and effective clinical care across East Kent UTCs (WHH, KCH and QEQM). You will assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting via NHS 111 bookings, A&E redirections and walk-ins, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the Alliance. This role values collaboration, encourages an inclusive and supportive environment, and promotes building respectful relationships with colleagues and patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with different communication styles and ways of thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver face-to-face consultations for acute and minor illness/injury.
  • Undertake assessments, investigations and management plans aligned with UTC clinical pathways.
  • Provide patient and referrer advice with safety-netting.
  • Liaise with A&E, community and primary care services.
  • Support triage, prioritisation and redirection of patients.
  • Maintain accurate records on CLEO.
  • Work within IC24’s prescribing formulary and governance framework.
  • Participate in audit, learning and education.
  • Contribute to service improvement and patient experience.
