About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, patient-focused individuals with a calm and professional approach to join IC24 as NHS 111 Health Advisors. When someone calls 111, you'll be the first voice they hear. Using the NHS Pathways system, you'll assess their needs and provide safe, non-clinical advice. The calls you take can range from simple prescription requests to helping someone in emotional distress. You'll need to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet and record detailed notes on the system quickly and accurately.
We proactively encourage and support our Health Advisors to progress through the ranks as a Non-Clinical Coach, Service Manager or Team Manager where possible. We also offer development opportunities through our nationally recognised patient service qualification programme, Aspire to Excellence. - Strong IT skills and confidence using multiple systems while speaking with patients
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working night shifts and supporting patients during out-of-hours periods
- Team player with a proactive and professional attitude
- Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially and accurately
- Previous customer service, call handling or healthcare experience is beneficial, but not essential
- A genuine passion for helping people and making a difference
Working Hours
All Health Advisors are required to work at least 50% of weekends. We are currently recruiting for overnight shifts only, with available shift patterns attached to this advert. Please only apply if you are able to fully commit to one of the listed overnight shift patterns, although additional hours may be available during peak periods.
Training and Start Dates
We are looking for candidates available to begin training in July. Please note that the training programme runs over 5 weeks and is full time (37.5 hours per week). Training follows an evening and weekend schedule. Day 1 of training is Wednesday 13:00-19:00 and then follows the below pattern:
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 6:00pm - 11:00pm
