This is a temporary NHS 111 Health Advisor role with IC24, a leading not-for-profit Social Enterprise providing innovative and patient-focused primary care services. The role involves taking calls from the public and assessing their medical needs using the Pathways system, with a focus on providing a flexible work-life balance for the right candidates.

Main duties of the job

  • The NHS 111 Health Advisor role requires at least 6 months of post-Pathways training experience.
  • Candidates must live within a 1.5-hour commute of one of IC24's contact centres in Ashford, Norwich, or Ipswich, and have a quiet, private home workspace with a suitable internet connection.
  • The role offers a mix of early, late, and night shifts, including weekends, with enhancements for unsociable hours and bank holidays.

What we need from you:

  • Currently or recently (within 6 weeks) working as a Tier Two NHS 111 Health Advisor.
  • Live within a 1.5-hour commute from our contact centre.
  • Willingness to attend our Ashford site if homeworking arrangements change.
  • Available for on-site training on your first day and occasionally if needed.

Working Hours

  • All Health Advisors must be able to work at least 50% of weekends.
  • Full-Time Options: You'll work a mix of early and late shifts, starting from 7am or 8am and finishing as late as 10pm. If preferred, you can choose to work only late shifts or night shifts (typically 10pm to 6am).
  • Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, but you can opt to work more if you'd like.
  • Part-Time Options: Part-time roles mainly focus on evening and weekend shifts, but a mix of early and evening shifts may be offered.

Training

Applicants must be available to start training in June or July. This will include 4 days of training Monday to Friday 9-5pm followed by coaching sign offs the following week. You must be able to attend every day of your course.
