The IUC Bank Clinical Navigator role at IC24 is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly competent and committed team. As a senior clinician, you will provide strategic guidance and oversight to the operational teams, ensuring the safest possible care for patients with the limited NHS resources available. This role is crucial in fostering effective communication between the operational and clinical teams, as well as managing patient dispositions and coordinating clinicians' roles during times of clinical and system stress.
Main duties of the job:
- Support the provision of integrated urgent care across IC24's urgent care portfolio, providing on-shift senior clinical oversight to all IC24 services.
- Co-ordinate the use of valuable NHS resources across the different counties covered by IC24, with the aid of a dedicated team of administrative staff.
- In times of clinical and system stress, co-ordinate clinicians' roles on CAS, patient dispositions, and the patient queues, ensuring that patients are communicated with regarding any changes or delays to their care.
- Discuss and guide clinicians to the most appropriate NHS resources for time-critical or challenging patients.
- Monitor and review the patient queues by identifying those patients that need priority and those that can wait longer.
- Build relationships with people from all walks of life and settings, guiding clinical colleagues with best practice and providing safe care to patients.
