We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Civil Risk Engineer based in London. The role will involve managing accounts for multi-national organisations primarily in the construction sector.
The Role:
- Investigating, analysing, and project managing the risk engineering program for construction project insurance risks.
- Review of technical documentation.
- Review the project schedule and cost documentation.
- Contract and Policy interpretation.
- Prepare risk summary and probable maximum loss assessments.
- Develop risk engineering programmes for insured clients taking into consideration the needs of all stakeholders.
- Create and manage tender process for third parties.
- Arrange individual risk engineering surveys and coordinate and manage the execution of surveys on a global basis.
- Manage survey recommendations to mutual agreeable conclusion.
- Review progress reports and summarise for insurers.
- Provide technical support to clients.
- Maintain all risk management team tracking systems.
- Maintain technical competency.
- Deliver technical presentations – case specific and external knowledge sharing.
- Contribute towards a technical article within 'integrated', Integra's bi-annual magazine.
The Requirements:
- Extensive experience working as an engineer within chosen industry sector.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering. Additional qualifications in risk management or relevant accreditations would be considered favourably.
- Self-starter, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to individuals at all levels – from site technicians up to company CEOs.
- Proven ability to write detailed reports of a varied technical nature.
- Member of engineering associations is preferable.
- Experience of working with international engineering standards and codes.
- Working knowledge of fire protection and detection systems.
- Minimum of two years experience with either an insurance company, broker or independent engineering firm working with the insurance sector.
