About the Role
We are looking for experienced TIG 141 Welders to join our team working on stainless steel pipework, ductwork, and air conditioning systems. The role involves precision welding and fabrication, with a focus on high-quality finishes and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out TIG 141 welding on stainless steel pipework, ducting, and associated components.
- Prepare and assemble materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fit-up.
- Weld and fabricate flanges, brackets, and fittings to tight tolerances.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Read and work from engineering drawings, isometric sketches, and welding procedures.
- Operate angle grinders and other hand/power tools safely and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with pipefitters, engineers, and site supervisors to deliver projects to deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a TIG 141 Welder, ideally within ductwork, HVAC, or stainless steel piping projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques for stainless steel pipework and sheet metal.
- Experience working with flanges, brackets, and stainless steel fittings.
- Skilled in the use of angle grinders and other preparation/finishing tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, WPS, and schematics.
- High attention to detail with commitment to producing clean, quality welds.
- Valid welder coding / welding certification in TIG 141 (preferred but not always essential).
