We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Semi-Skilled Workshop Operatives to join a well-established team operating within the electro-mechanical engineering sector, primarily supporting projects in the power industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with some industry experience who are looking to develop their skills further. Basic training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out construction-related tasks as directed by site management
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various aspects of project work
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and site areas
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform general maintenance duties across site
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules
- Adhere to best practice guidelines and support team compliance
- Report progress, issues, and potential risks to supervisors
- Assist with documentation, including risk assessments and paperwork
Requirements
- Ability to drive
- Willingness to work away from home when required
- Basic English and Maths qualifications (minimum GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or equivalent)
- Basic computer literacy
- Previous industry experience is desirable but not essential
Pay & Rates
Rates are based on NAECI agreements and vary depending on project type:
- Construction & Maintenance Projects (Grade 3):
- Base Rate: £18.86
- Rate A: £26.40
- Rate B: £33.94
- Bonus Potential: £2.37
- Base Rate: £16.86
- Rate A: £23.60
- Rate B: £30.34
