The client is currently recruiting for a Planning Engineer for a long term project on Isle of Grain power station, Kent. The role will involve producing, updating and maintaining the project schedule in conjunction with the respective accountable discipline leads and in line with the project controls strategy and schedule management plan.
Duties will include:
- Developing and maintaining project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget in P6
- Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Facilitating requirements gathering sessions and document business needs
- Utilising project management software to track progress and communicate updates
- Monitoring project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies
- Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Preparing regular status reports and communicating project updates to stakeholders
Requirements:
- HND in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Planner within Oil, Gas, Nuclear Industry with project or turnaround experience
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as CPM
- Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and visualization tools (e.g., Navisworks)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in team management and demonstrated leadership abilities
