IMMEDIATE START – ASSISTANT DRILLER / SECOND MAN – SHEFFIELD 🚨 Location: Sheffield Start: ASAP Duration: Ongoing We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Driller / Second Man to join a geothermal drilling operation in Sheffield, supporting an experienced Lead Driller on site. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in drilling, groundworks, construction, plant operations or other outdoor site-based work who is looking to develop a career within the renewable energy sector. Key Responsibilities: * Assisting the Lead Driller with geothermal borehole drilling * Supporting the operation of drilling rigs and ancillary equipment * Operating and maintaining mud cleaning/recycling equipment * Assisting with installation of ground-source heat pump borehole loops * Supporting grouting and borehole completion * Keeping the rig, equipment and work area clean, safe and prepared * Assisting with routine equipment checks and basic maintenance * Maintaining high health & safety and environmental standards * Supporting site records and QA/QC requirements Requirements: * Previous drilling experience preferred but not essential * Previous outdoor construction, groundworks or site experience * CSCS card or ability to obtain one * Full UK Driving Licence * Strong work ethic and reliable attitude * Good communication and ability to work as part of a team * Willingness to learn and develop within geothermal drilling * Telehandler ticket and Emergency First Aid desirable 💰 Competitive PAYE rate 📍 Sheffield 🚨 Immediate start available If you're available immediately and interested in developing your career within geothermal drilling and renewable energy, please send your CV or get in touch with Joshua at Integrate Engineering Resources Ltd
