Coded Pipe Welder – Industrial New Build Project
Location: Hertfordshire
Duration: 6-9 month contract
Hours: 11 Day Fortnight | 10 Hours Per Day
Rates: Paid in line with Blue Book Agreement
- Basic Pay: £23.45 per hour + £2.83 per hour holiday pay - £26.28 per hour
- OT1: £32.83 per hour
- OT2: £42.21 per hour
- Accommodation: £53.39 per day or hotel provided
- Bonus: £2.37 per hour
Our client is currently seeking experienced Coded Pipe Welders for a major industrial new build project based in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a large-scale industrial development, offering consistent hours and competitive Blue Book rates.
Responsibilities:
- Welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipework to project specifications
- Working from isometric drawings, weld maps, and fabrication drawings
- Carrying out high-quality TIG and MMA welding on industrial pipe systems
- Ensuring all welds meet project quality requirements and relevant industry standards
- Completing welds in various positions and configurations
- Working closely with pipefitters, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment in line with site procedures
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Welding, Fabrication & Welding, or equivalent qualification
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport / ACE Card
- Current coding certificates relevant to industrial pipe welding - beneficial
- Proven experience welding carbon steel and/or stainless steel pipework on industrial projects
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld procedures
- Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
