Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Plumber for an immediate start on a long-term mechanical and pipework project at an AWE site in Reading. The role involves high-spec installation of drainage and press-fit copper systems, working within a secure and highly regulated environment. A DBS is required for this role; if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to undergo the check.
Security Clearance (Important): You must hold SC clearance or be willing to obtain it. SC clearance for this project is site-specific. Unless you already hold valid SC clearance for the contractor, a new clearance process will be required. Full guidance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of HDPE / terrain drainage systems
- Installation of press-fit copper pipework for mechanical systems
- Working to site safety standards and security protocols
- Coordinating with the site team to ensure timely, high-quality installation
- Following all procedures associated with secure facility operations
Essential:
- CSCS Card
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
- DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
