The Role:
Our client has a requirement for Platers for a shutdown on Port Talbot for 10x days. The work will involve plate repairs and welding on existing steel plate and channel.
Duties will include:
- Using oxyacetylene burning equipment to remove sections of plate
- Setting out, marking and cutting steel plate
- Repairing heat distorted steel plate
- Plate, pipe, channel and bracket repairs
- MMA welding on mild steel plate
Ideally workers will be recently site inducted but inductions can be arranged.
Essential Requirements:
- CCNSG card
- Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 3
- Confined Space Entry certificate
