Date & Duration: Tuesday 6th May 2025, 6 month contract

Rate: £24.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £30.00 per hour weekend, £55.00 per day lodge allowance

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Coded Pipe 141 Welder to join our team, specialising in welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in TIG welding to the 141 standard and capable of producing high-quality welds for a range of industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding to 141 coding standards on stainless steel and carbon steel pipework.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, weld procedures, and isometric diagrams.
  • Prepare, align, and weld pipe joints using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Carry out pipe welding on various schedules and diameters, ensuring full penetration and high-quality welds.
  • Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with pipefitters and other fabricators to ensure correct fit-up and alignment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all health and safety protocols.
  • Perform weld repairs as necessary and assist in rework where required.
  • Complete weld logs and quality documentation in line with project and site requirements.

Requirements:

  • Valid and current 141 coding qualification for stainless and carbon steel (GTAW / TIG).
  • Proven experience welding pipework in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, filler metals, and shielding gases for both stainless and carbon steel.
