Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator to support ongoing works on a new build industrial project in Northwich, Cheshire. This role involves operating a telescopic handler on a busy construction site, assisting various trades and site teams by moving materials, loading/unloading deliveries, and maintaining safe access routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of the telehandler in line with site safety procedures.
- Transporting materials across the site efficiently and safely.
- Assisting with unloading and loading deliveries.
- Supporting site teams with manual handling as required.
- Daily equipment checks and reporting maintenance needs.
- Working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure smooth logistics.
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler ticket (with CSCS logo if NPORS).
- Previous experience operating a telehandler on industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Understanding of on-site safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
- Own PPE (hi-vis, hard hat, boots, gloves, etc.).
- Additional site tickets (e.g., Slinger/Signaller, First Aid) would be an advantage.
