Our Client: One of the UK's largest Mechanical Installation & Maintenance contractors, operating within the Power, Petrochemical, EFW and Biomass sectors nationwide.
The Role: We are searching for a Project Planner / P6 Planner / Mechanical Planner to join the site team on a large scale industrial project based in Teesside. The role will consist of assisting the Lead Planning Engineer with detailed progress reporting and duties will include:
- Working closely with the Project Directors to ensure that the project is effectively delivered
- Preparation of a detailed tie-in progress tracker to manage tie-in interfaces with existing plant and systems, keeping detailed track of pre-requisite activities
- Progress Reporting on Piping & Mechanical Progress, involving close liaison with the Project Management team, verifying progress with regular site visits for progress mark up and verification
- Detailed tracking of Sub-Contractor performance onsite in relation to Steel and Major Pipe Support installation and assisting with any pre-requisites that are required such as PFP / Lagging Removals, Scaffolding etc.
- Providing planning and progress monitoring assistance
- Evaluating & recording project progress against plan
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Monitor progress (including sub-contractors) against plans and schedules and report on status
- Liaising with team members, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Supporting Quality and Health and Safety objectives
- Working safely and adhering to company policies and procedures
Required:
- Prior background in Planning Mechanical Projects
- Knowledge & use of Primavera P6 Package
- Experience of working on large industrial projects
