The Role: Integrate Engineering Resources are currently recruiting for an HSE Advisor on behalf of our client, a market leader in the heavy industrial operations and maintenance sectors. The role will be based on an industrial site in Middlesbrough and will involve supporting the regional site management team across all operational sites by conducting inspections and audits, producing reports of findings, advising management and craftsmen teams of all relevant legislative and company health and safety requirements, and assisting with delivering health and safety training requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring all operational sites across the region against the health, safety and environmental management requirements of the company Integrated Management System
- Reporting directly to the Company Health and Safety Manager with day-to-day duties under the direction of the Regional Manager and/or Site Manager when resident on site
- Fulfilling the role of on-site resident health and safety advisor for larger projects as required
- Overseeing the performance of, and providing further advice on IMS to resident safety advisors where employed by the company for a specific project
- Delivery of in-house health and safety training to employee craftsmen and staff
- Provision of health and safety advice to site management teams in line with company procedures and current health and safety legislation
- Conducting investigations of all accidents and incidents with reports on findings
- Performing internal audits against the requirements of IMS for both health and safety and environmental standards and facilitating external auditors
- Liaison with client health and safety management on site
- Liaison with company health and safety representatives of employee safety
- Production of monthly reports of site performance data to the Health and Safety Manager
- Other duties to be performed in line with management requirements when all safety advisor duties have been fulfilled
Requirements:
- Level 3 of NEBOSH certificate
- Previous Oil & Gas or Power Station site experience
- Internal auditor (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) qualification preferred
- IOSH qualification preferred
