The Role:
Integrate Engineering Resources are currently recruiting for an HSEQ Manager on behalf of our client, a market leader in the construction sector. The role will be based permanently on site in Manchester and will include the following responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery of the company HSE strategy and overseeing, monitoring and evaluating health and safety standards on site
- Completing risk assessments and method statements
- Maintaining health and safety standards and documentation whilst on site
- Conducting regular site walks to ensure all HSE practices are being adhered to
- Working closely with the site management team and reporting to the HSE Manager
- Conduct investigations of all accidents and incidents with reports on findings
- Assisting managers to ensure the health and safety of employees and others, as required by law and company and client rules.
- Ensuring all employees know their legal responsibilities and providing advice on health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) issues when needed.
- Keeping HSEQ documentation up-to-date, reviewing it, completing it, and getting necessary approvals and signatures.
- Giving advice and assisting in the creation of risk assessments, method statements, and other safety, quality, and environmental documents.
- Conducting inspections and quality checks on site.
- Keeping records to comply with legal and contractual requirements.
- Advising on and coordinating necessary training for workers.
- Identifying problems with compliance, helping to analyze them, and planning how to fix them.
- Taking part in creating and carrying out actions to fix and prevent issues.
- Investigating any non-compliance, reporting the findings to the Project Manager, and following up to make sure corrective actions are completed effectively and on time.
- Conducting investigations into accidents or incidents, analyzing data to prevent future occurrences.
- Managing and reporting on HSEQ performance to the Project Manager and HSEQ Coordinator.
- Working actively with the project team to meet HSEQ standards.
- Attending management and health and safety meetings.
- Collaborating with the project and installation teams to ensure HSEQ procedures are followed.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety plans and environmental plans.
Required:
- Knowledge of the ISO 45001:2018 Required
- Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015
- Experience in Steel structures and facades an advantage
