About the job

Job Title: Coded Welder (TIG 141 & MIG 135) - Stainless Steel Plate Work

Hours: 10 hours per day Monday to Saturday

Pay rate: £23.21 + £2.80 Hol Pay (£26.00 per hour inc holiday pay) - All Hours Monday to Friday - Saturday work 7 and paid for 10 hours

£5 per hour for accommodation (Tax Free)

£1860 per week all in Gross

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and certified Coded Welders with experience in TIG 141 and MIG 135 welding techniques to join our team on a new build industrial project. The role involves working on stainless steel plate work, requiring high precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG (141) and MIG (135) welding on stainless steel plates according to technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welds.
  • Maintain welding equipment and perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct weld inspections to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth project workflow.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations on-site, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of welding tasks to project management.

Requirements:

  • Coded certification or previous experience welding in TIG 141 and MIG 135 processes.
  • CSCS Card
  • Proven experience working with stainless steel plate welding, particularly in industrial settings.
  • Good knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
  • You will be required to pass a weld test - butt weld plates and tubes in PA, PC, PF and PH-L045, AISI 304.
