  • Lodge Allowance - £60.00 per day worked

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Working Welding Supervisor to oversee welding operations on a large-scale infrastructure project involving viaducts and steel structures. The successful candidate will ensure all welding activities are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety, in compliance with project specifications and UK regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all welding operations, ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor the performance of welders to ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct inspections of welding work to verify compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex welding tasks.
  • Ensure all welding equipment is maintained, calibrated, and in safe working condition.
  • Prepare and maintain records, including welding logs, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.
  • Enforce compliance with site-specific safety protocols, including the use of PPE and adherence to risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with site managers, quality control teams, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and training sessions for welders to improve skills and awareness of safety practices.

Requirements

  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card Gold or higher.
  • SSSTS
  • Experience in 136 & 138 welding heavy structural.
