Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for an Electrician Technician on behalf of our client for a permanent role in Hemel Hempstead. The role will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on a major oil terminal. The primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical components related to oil storage, pumping, and distribution systems and will require a strong understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components at the oil terminal.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential electrical problems.
- Analyze and interpret electrical schematics to identify and resolve issues.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring electrical problems.
- Calibrate and adjust electrical equipment to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
- Perform routine checks on electrical instruments and gauges to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Document equipment specifications, serial numbers, and calibration data.
- Coordinate with other maintenance and operations personnel to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall terminal functionality.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and challenges.
Requirements
- Level 3 Electrical qualification / completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical industry.
- Electrical Installation - TIE16 Installing cables in an Intrinsically Safe system and TIE17 (Ex) Install, Gland and Terminate Power Cables.
- Electrical Maintenance - TEM10 Hazardous area inspection of electrical equipment.
- CompEx EX01-04 Qualification.
- Proven experience as an Electrician.
