The Role
Integrate Engineering Resources are currently recruiting for a P6 Planner on behalf of our client for an EFW power station construction project near Glasgow. The role will involve developing and managing detailed schedules for complex mechanical and electrical installation, integrating them with overall construction plans, tracking progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing reporting and analysis using Primavera P6.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage detailed schedules for complex mechanical and electrical installation, integrating them with overall construction plans.
- Track progress, identify and mitigate risks, and provide reporting and analysis using Primavera P6.
- Create comprehensive programmes based on design specs and subcontractor input, ensuring M&E works are aligned with other project phases.
- Monitor milestones, highlight delays with corrective actions, and collaborate with various project teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in using Primavera P6 planning software and requirement for the candidate to hold their own license for this.
- Proficient in using MS Project planning software and requirement for the candidate to hold their own Microsoft 360 license for this.
- Demonstrate previous experience in working on EFW projects or industrial projects of a similar scale. References could be asked.
- Engineering background with past experience either working in a design or operational environment.
- In depth technical knowledge of construction sequencing and processes in order to propose solutions and refine the programme to create efficiencies.
- Confident in leading planning meetings/workshops and ability to communicate effectively with team members of varying disciplines and nationalities.
- Motivated self starter who is able to work independently to achieve set objectives.
- Candidates with Autocad and Autocad Civil 3D knowledge and own software license will be valued but not essential.
