We are seeking a skilled and proactive EC&I Supervisor to oversee assembly, testing and installation of electrical, instrument and controls equipment and components on a new build EFW power station in Glasgow. Responsibilities will involve leading a production team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and managing workflow to meet production targets.
Responsibilities
- Production Supervision: Lead and coordinate the daily activities of assemblers and technicians to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Technical Leadership: Assemble, inspect, and test electrical and electronic components (e.g., control panels, motors, transformers, circuit boards) based on technical drawings and blueprints.
- Quality Control & Safety: Enforce safety regulations and quality standards, performing in-process checks and inspecting final products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Workflow & Troubleshooting: Manage daily production, resolve technical issues, fix bottlenecks, and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
- Personnel Management: Train new staff, provide mentoring, conduct performance appraisals, and manage attendance and discipline.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, such as production reports, maintenance logs, and checklists.
Qualifications
- CSCS / CCNSG
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- NVQ Level 3, Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in C&I commissioning, preferably in new build power generation projects in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, instrumentation, and control systems, including PLCs, and ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Working at Height, Safety Harness, Manual handling training.
