The Role
Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting a Confined Space Entry Controller for a major power station construction project in Glasgow. The role will involve ensuring the safety of confined space entry by performing pre‑entry checks, monitoring the work team and their equipment, maintaining communication with entrants, controlling entry and exit, and alerting a rescue team in the event of an emergency.
Duties
- Verifying permits and risk assessments
- Ensuring all safety documents are present and accessible
- Checking atmospheric conditions
- Ensuring adequate safety equipment is present and functional and safety procedures are being adhered to
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication methods with entrants throughout the work period
- Implementing safety procedures and summoning a rescue team when necessary
