Permanent Position, Full Time

Basic Annual Salary: £37,000 per annum

Stakeholder Pension Plan (Presently the company contributes up to 6%)

20 days paid annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate would have industry experience; however, basic training will be provided for the job. The candidates must have:

  • Ability to drive
  • Basic English and Maths qualifications (min. GCSE level 4 / grade C)
  • Able to read and work direct from engineering drawings
  • 5 years of workshop production, operations and planning experience in procurement and purchasing

To ensure that our workshop operates efficiently, in line with project needs, work is required to be planned ahead of schedule with all paperwork and procurement secured. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will work closely with the Workshop Superintendent in collaboration when planning day-to-day activities and weekly look ahead. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has worked a similar role before, or if you are experienced in planning and production control and can demonstrate to us through examples.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand & implement work schedules and instructions
  • Monitor productivity to support planning and forward workload
  • Monitor the daily work, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and on time to deliver targets and report on progress
  • Check the quality of work and ensure it meets required standards
  • Liaising with Planning Manager to ensure all Production and Resources are aligned
  • Liaising with Workshop Superintendent
  • Transfer of programmes for manufacturing planning to add processes and details required for progress reports
  • Provide the workshop with accurate and detailed Work Order Cards following drawings and designs
  • Control all Work Order Cards that are issued to the Workshop in the company’s best interests
  • Control and inspection of incoming goods
  • Control all store rooms and all stock i.e. materials requisition, consumables, fixings, project specific goods
  • Control tools and inventory
  • Maintain accurate records of stock and inventory
  • Control and management of stock records
  • Incoming goods and despatch of all material
