Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified Painting Inspector to support an industrial project on the Isle of Grain. This role will focus on overseeing touch-up and repair painting work, ensuring all coatings meet the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify touch-up and repair works on structural steel and other industrial surfaces
- Ensure all coating applications comply with project specifications, industry standards, and health & safety requirements
- Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections as required
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and findings
- Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and QA teams to ensure corrective actions are completed to a high standard
- Ensure work is carried out in a safe and professional manner
Requirements:
- Valid certification in one of the following: NACE Level 2 or 3, ICorr Level 2 or 3, or FROSIO Level III
- Previous experience in a painting/coatings inspection role within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
- Strong understanding of coating systems, surface preparation, and inspection techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
