Location: Isle of Grain

Contract Length: 4-6 weeks (initial)

Hours: 50-60 hours per week

Rate: £300.00 per day (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)

Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified Painting Inspector to support an industrial project on the Isle of Grain. This role will focus on overseeing touch-up and repair painting work, ensuring all coatings meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify touch-up and repair works on structural steel and other industrial surfaces
  • Ensure all coating applications comply with project specifications, industry standards, and health & safety requirements
  • Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections as required
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and findings
  • Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and QA teams to ensure corrective actions are completed to a high standard
  • Ensure work is carried out in a safe and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Valid certification in one of the following: NACE Level 2 or 3, ICorr Level 2 or 3, or FROSIO Level III
  • Previous experience in a painting/coatings inspection role within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of coating systems, surface preparation, and inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
