Summary: We are seeking an experienced Black Hat Insulation Supervisor to oversee insulation activities on a new-build LNG tank project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising insulation teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering work to the highest quality within project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise insulation work on the LNG tank, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage insulation teams, providing clear direction and support.
- Ensure all insulation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trade supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Inspect insulation materials and installation quality to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and workforce performance.
- Report and resolve any issues, delays, or non-compliance matters on site.
- Provide training and mentorship to insulation personnel as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Insulation Supervisor in the oil & gas or LNG industry.
- Previous experience working on LNG tank insulation projects is highly desirable.
- Black Hat Supervisor certification or equivalent site leadership experience - SSSTS
- Strong knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Valid CSCS / CCNSG / SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to work in a demanding site environment with strict safety protocols.
